These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Wabii ("Wabii," "we," "us," or "our") — the mobile app and the wabiiapp.com website. By creating an account or using Wabii, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use Wabii.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 17 years old to use Wabii. By using Wabii, you represent that you meet this requirement. Wabii is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly permit anyone under 17 to use it.
2. What Wabii is — and isn't
Wabii is a journaling app that helps you write freely and surfaces patterns across your own entries over time, using third-party AI providers to generate reflections, insights, and summaries (see our Privacy Policy for details on how this works).
Wabii is not a licensed therapist, a medical device, a crisis service, or a substitute for professional mental health care. Insights and reflections Wabii generates are the output of automated pattern-matching and large language models — they can be incomplete, wrong, or miss context you'd want a real person to have. Use your own judgment, and consult a qualified professional for medical, psychological, or legal advice. If you are in crisis or in danger, contact your local emergency services or a crisis line immediately — do not rely on Wabii.
3. Your account
You're responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity that happens under your account. Let us know right away at hello@wabiiapp.com if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.
4. Your content
You own what you write in Wabii. We don't claim ownership over your journal entries or any other content you create. By using Wabii, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and transmit your content solely to provide the service to you — including sending relevant content to the third-party AI providers described in our Privacy Policy so they can generate reflections, insights, and transcriptions on our behalf. We don't use your content for any purpose beyond providing and improving Wabii for you.
5. Sharing feature
Wabii lets you optionally generate a temporary, password-protected link to share a window of your entries with a mental health coach or therapist of your choosing. You are solely responsible for who you share that link and password with. Once a recipient has viewed your content through the link, Wabii has no ability to control or retract what they do with it afterward. Use this feature only with people you trust.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use Wabii for any unlawful purpose, or to store or transmit content that infringes someone else's rights.
- Attempt to access another user's account or content without authorization.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or interfere with Wabii's infrastructure or security.
- Use Wabii's outputs (reflections, insights, digests) to make medical, legal, or safety-critical decisions without independent professional judgment.
- Impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation with anyone.
7. Cost
Wabii is currently offered free of charge during early access. If we introduce paid plans in the future, we'll provide clear notice and additional terms will apply to any purchase.
8. Intellectual property
Wabii's name, logo, app, and underlying software are owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms don't grant you any rights to our branding or software beyond using the app as intended.
9. Termination
You can stop using Wabii at any time, and can request deletion of your account by emailing hello@wabiiapp.com. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, or if we discontinue the service, with notice where reasonably possible.
10. Disclaimers
Wabii is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We don't guarantee that Wabii will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI-generated content will be accurate, complete, or suitable for your situation.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Wabii and its team will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including reliance on AI-generated reflections or insights, or from content shared through the sharing feature described in Section 5.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of Wabii will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of India.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms as Wabii evolves. If we make material changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Continuing to use Wabii after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
